The German edition of Metal Hammer has been published since 1983. Since then, it has undergone several editor and publisher changes. Between 1994 and 1999, the magazine was published monthly by ZAG Verlag, which was part of the Marquard Media Gruppe in Switzerland. The publisher sold the magazine in 1999. Accordingly, there is no longer any contact information for these editions.
