The German Matador magazine first appeared in 2004 with a few test editions until it was then available for purchase on a monthly basis. It saw itself as a men's lifestyle magazine, which at the same time gave a lot of space to the topic of eroticism. Accordingly, a Miss Matador was chosen every month - including an extensive erotic photo series. Apparently the mix of content was not received as desired, as the magazine was discontinued in 2008. A later restart also failed.
